On February 27^th Mr. Wim Douw, Senior private sector specialist of the World Bank Group and Mr. Robert Whyte, WBG consultant delivered a lecture entitled «The Strategy, Goals and Actors of Economic Diplomacy» at the Diplomatic School of Armenia. The lecture was meant for employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Diplomatic School, as well as for the representatives of the Investment Support Centre. The meeting was organized in partnership with the World Bank Group (WBG)/International Finance Corporation "Economic Growth" Project, which is implemented with the support of the UK Government. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the process of development of economic diplomacy, the preparation of the investment conference and the establishment of the institutional system of the Armenian Investment Support Centre. Questions were raised about how to attract investors to Armenia, about providing them with the necessary information and other related issues. A new programme on Economic Diplomacy, to be taught at the Diplomatic School, is to be developed jointly by the World Bank Group and the Diplomatic School of Armenia.
